Fleming was a two-time winner of the New York City Marathon.

Hall of Fame marathon runner and veteran Montclair Kimberley Academy track and field coach Tom Fleming died Wednesday afternoon from a heart attack while coaching at a three-team meet in Verona, school officials announced. 

"Coach Fleming may be gone, but he will never be forgotten" a tweet from the school's athletic account said with the hashtags #RIP, #CHAMPION and #LEGEND.
